A casualty was cut free from a two car accident on Settle Road yesterday afternoon.

Two fire engines from Clitheroe attended the scene just before 4pm.

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "The incident involved two vehicles and one casualty was released by firefighters using holmatro cutting equipment, stabilising equipment and First Aid.

"Firefighters were at the scene for approximately an hour."
