An Asian Wedding Show in Nelson’s ACE Centre proved a big hit – hundreds of people went along to it.
There were a whole range of wedding stalls, lively entertaining, great models staging in Asian wedding uniforms, wedding photography samples and some decent food, too – including lovely cakes. Nelson’s born and bred singer Kiran Khan was on stage and she was very impressive, and there was pianist Bobby Bollywood, too. Bradford firm DK Weddings provided the stage.
And organiser Ruksana Kauser said: “There were hundreds of people who attended. It let them see the potential of the ACE Centre.
“There were a whole series of stalls wedding-based. We had people significantly come along because they plan to have a wedding next year. “The stallholders were very happy with it all. We had six models, all from the Pendle area. We had a great response from people.
“It was good to have people from the whole community at the Asian Wedding Show – it brought the whole community together. It was fantastic overall – a brilliant day!”
And there are plans to hold the event again at The ACE in Cross Street next year thanks to its success this time.
