Students at St Paul’s Primary School, Nelson, have raised a fantastic £200 for Pendleside Hospice.

The students held a “Nativity” play in December where they took donations and some of the pupils made and sold cakes.

Headteacher Stephen Crook said: “The hospice is a great local charity which we’re more than happy to support.”

Hospice Fundraiser Vikki Bassek attended an assembly at the school where she talked to the children about how important fund-raising is to Pendleside.
