Barnoldswick bed manufacturer Silentnight has announced record sales in its 70th year of production.

The company, based in Long Ing Lane where it employs over 700 people, saw a record sales performance across its Silentnight, Sealy and Rest Assured brands in its last financial year up to January 30th, 2016.

Total net sales reached £137.5m, up 10% on the previous year, and its operating profit also showed a strong performance growing to £8.3m, up 26%.
