A Burnley strong man competition will be providing some heavyweight entertainment this weekend.

The Summer Giants Strong Man Competition takes place in Towneley Park on Sunday.

Competitors, including former England Strongest Man Chris Gearing, will be battling out across a number of events from atlas stones and log press to the 20 ton truck pull.

There will also be a funfair, birds of prey demonstrations, an assault course and food and drinks stalls including alcohol.

The funfair is scheduled to start at 10-30am with the competition running from 12-30pm.

Entry is free.
