A small group of travellers who were today spotted in Trawden have now moved on.
Two small caravans and a Renault Megane had set up home at Trawden Recreation Ground.
The site was attended by Pendle Council staff, who said that legal action would be considered if the group had not moved following the weekend.
Philip Mousdale, deputy chief executive, said: “We’ve been out to the site to speak to the travellers.
“They tell us that they are just passing through the area and don’t intend to stay.
“Of course, we’ll monitor the situation and consider legal action to move them on early next week if they are still there.”
