LBS Garden Centre in Trawden has launched its Winter Wonderland with a festive evening to remember.

Guests, including the Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayoress of Pendle Coun. and Mrs David Whalley, were treated to a special performance by Pendle Hippodrome Youth Theatre’s cast of “Elf the Musical” and carols by Nelson Brass Band, as well as mulled wine, mince pies and the chance to take an “elfie selfie”.

There was also face painting and the opportunity to meet Santa himself, with proceeds from that going to Wil’s Wishes.

Anne Wolfenden, Executive Director of LBS Horticulture, which has been owned by her family for over 45 years, said: “Christmas is always a great time of year in our garden centre. “The staff put a huge amount of effort into getting our Winter Wonderland ready. So many people have said it’s a hidden gem that we’re really trying to make sure people know about it this year.”
