Traditional Burns Night celebration for Padiham rotarians

The venue was Molly Rigby's in Padiham and the special guests of honour were the Mayor of Burnley Coun. Anne Kelly and her consort Mr John Kelly.
President Alan Ravenscroft commenced the festivities by thanking all those present and continued by leading the prayer, known as the Selkirk grace, which is always said on this occasion.

Hide AdThe haggis was piped in by Piper Richard Gough, a local lad, who has recently completed his degree in music and is hoping to go on to further his education by studying for a Masters Degree.
Accompanied by his wife Margaret, Mr Bill Black, made a return visit to address the haggis and Mr Ravenscroft made the toast.
The celebration commemorates the national Scottish poet Robert Burns, familiarly known as Rabbie Burns whose fame is celebrated worldwide.
