A fund-raising event in aid of Pendleside Hospice was officially launched with 100 free goody bags.

The bags, sponsored by the Woodland Spa, were handed out to women signing up to the Girls Night Out.

The event will take place on Friday, July 11th, and replaces the hospice’s Midnight Walk. A 10km walk will start from Burnley Football Club at 8pm and will finish at the same venue where participants will tuck into a potato pie supper before enjoying entertainment and a bar until midnight.

Registration for The Girls Night Out, which is sponsored by Charter Walk and Alderson and Horan Funeral Services, costs £10 and all walkers receive a T-shirt, supper, certificate and medal.

Women and girls over the age of 11 can also register online at www.pendleside.org.uk, by picking up a leaflet at any of the hospice shops or by calling 01282 440120.
