An Earby business venture is off to good start according to its female founder.

Gill McGarrell launched the West Craven Artisan Fair in September at the New Road Community Centre and followed up the debut with October’s gathering at the weekend.

The fair showcases locally made products with everything from produce to crafts and cakes to soaps and has generated much interest with the public who were queueing outside the door at last month’s premiere.

Gill said: “It’s started well. Everybody had a good day at the weekend.

“I’ve had good vibes from it. Everybody has said the same, there’s a friendly atmosphere.

“We’ve had at least 10 stalls on each occasion but we can fit more in there. It’s been nicely full though.

“Next time there will be more Christmas things going in for people wanting a special, unique gift this year.”

The next two fairs will be held on Saturday, November 2nd and Saturday, December 14th, starting from 10am until 2pm.
