A snip shy of £1,000 has been collected after a hair raising endeavour.

William Eastham from Earby had his afro shaved off at The Cutting Room in Barnoldswick in November raising £949.39 in the process for the Bosom Friends cancer support group.

Gus Brennan, from the Bosom Friends group, said: “Bosom Friends would like to thank William for his donation and for thinking of those local people and families who are suffering cancer at this present time.

“We would also like to thank all of William’s family, friends, and work colleagues from Silentnight, who all supported this wonderful effort.”
