IT was disappointing to read the letter in the Clitheroe Advertiser (October 6th) about Roefield Leisure in regards to hire charges to stage a five-a-side charitable event.
Clearly the author had been misinformed as to the level of contribution Roefield made to make the event a success. To that end I wish to clarify the situation.
Roefield Leisure, a charitable organisation itself and dedicated to providing activities for the community of the Ribble Valley, offered the sports hall all day for £175 – not £300 as quoted in the letter – representing a discount of £116.
I hope this clarifies Roefield’s position.
