I recently visited the fire station in Burnley on its open day.
I went on the guided tour and was most impressed with the equipment and facilities the firefighters have to help them tackle any situation. The gym has all the latest gear to help firefighters stay fit. Then we were shown the kitchen and all its mod cons. The person showing us around was most informative and helpful.
I was impressed with the people who talked about the Prince’s Trust scheme, a 12-week course that involves all kinds of activities to enable young people to lead a worthwhile life. A leaflet is on hand at the station which gives all the information about the scheme.
It was a very interesting visit and I would like to thank everyone concerned.
