The other week, as the first real ice and snow hit Barnoldswick, it was utter chaos for the poor people trying to get to work.
As I was taking my dog out first thing, cars were sliding all over the place and helpers were putting grit down, and trying to stay on their feet.
Come on councillors, this is just not acceptable. It’s downright dangerous. This literally is an accident waiting to happen.
The gritter needs to come down Lower Rook Street and round the corner on to Clifford Street. Also Fountain Street (next to Clifford) houses the nursery where parents are trying to drop off toddlers (a very dangerous situation).
Here’s hoping somebody reads this letter that can do something about this before someone gets hurt.
