NELSON remain in limbo after the Vodkat North West Counties League annual meeting.
The Blues finished bottom of the First Division last season.

However, the final line-up of the league, which will now have a Premier and First Division, has still to be ratified by the management committee, due to the uncertainty surrounding a number of existing member clubs.

Alsager have been demoted after failing to meet the UniBond League's ground grading requirements, Darwen did not have a representative at the meeting, and at the time of the meeting had not paid their entry fee for the coming season, while Jon Westall's side await news as to whether they are to be relegated or reprieved, depending on whether what will be the Premier League reverts back to 22 teams.

Should Nelson be demoted, they will join three newcomers when the First Division kicks-off on August 9th.

The most high-profile of the three clubs elected into the league are AFC Liverpool, while Irlam Town and Wigan Robin Park also join.

AFC Liverpool, aimed at Liverpool fans who have been priced out of Premier League football, will play at Prescot Cables' Valerie Park, and already have 600 members, with 1,000 expected by the start of the season.
