YOUNG Pendle judo player Damon Pegg has been awarded a grant from the Lancashire Playing Fields Association.
The 16-year-old has received £525 to help with his training costs for the year.

Damon represents England throughout the UK and Europe as a member of the World Class Cadet Squad, and is pictured receiving the cheque from Peter Croasdale LPFA at Pendle Judo Club in Colne, with senior coach William Thompson, assistant coach Paul Griffiths and the Junior section of the club (s).

Training at Pendle Judo Club is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-30 to 8 p.m. above Colne Conservative Club.
