Cup final is fitting reward!

COLIN Pemberton feels Saturday's LT Cup final appearance has been bubbling under for some time.
Nelson host Todmorden in the Lancashire League Second Eleven Cup final at Seedhill (wickets pitched 1-15 p.m.).
And a proud Pemberton will lead his side out hoping to maintain their stunning season to date.
Nelson sit top of the league table, and including their run to the cup final, are unbeaten in 14 completed games so far this campaign.
And Pemberton admits the club are seeing the fruits of years of hard work: "To be fair, we have deserved everything we have got this season because we have been fantastic.
"It's been a combination of teamwork, because this side play very well together as a team, and the fact that the players have been together now for a number of years.
"They know each other inside out – things have been coming together for a few seasons now and it seems to have blossomed this season.
"We have been building up to this moment for the past few seasons, and it is nice that we have earned the right to be in this final and give ourselves a chance of silverware.
"But this could be a key weekend in more ways, because we play third-placed Accrington in the league on Sunday which could go a long way to deciding that competition."
Lancashire League second team cricket has been dominated by Ramsbottom in recent years; cup winners in five of the past six seasons and league winners for the past two.
And with Todmorden having knocked them out of the cup in the last round, Pemberton admits this is a fantastic opportunity to capitalise: "Ramsbottom have dominated this competition in the past five years or so, and the league as well.
"And the fact they are not in the cup final this year gives us and Todmorden the chance to take advantage and win it for ourselves.
"It was a bit of a long, drawn out process because we had to wait two weeks to find out who and where we were playing.
"You always want to know something like straightaway, because the buzz is there from your own semi-final win.
"But the fact we now know we are at home is a massive bonus.
"You could say being at home in the final adds pressure, but if the weather stays good we are expecting a good crowd.
"And hopefully they can give us the backing and the support we need to lift the trophy."
