COLNE and Nelson suffered differing fortunes in the Vodkat First Division last night.
Colne gave a competent performance to take a 3-0 win away from Ramsbottom United, while Nelsonm lost 1-0 at home to Runcorn Linnets.

Goals from Liam Garbutt, James Crorken and Stevie Hall put the Reds in the driving seat for a fourth-placed finish, with just three games left of the season.

But Nelson's hopes of avoiding relegation were dealt a blow, as a first half penalty from former Padiham striker Vinnie Braine consigned them to another defeat.

Both are in action tomorrow, with Nelson travelling to Glossop North End and Colne hosting Winsford United (both kick-offs 3 p.m.).

And Colne are also in action on Tuesday when they host Atherton Collieries (kick-off 7-45 p.m.).
