FIVE unanswered tries saw Pendle Phoenix maintain their impressive run of form.
Littleborough were brushed aside in a one-sided contest at Hodge House, as the hosts avenged their early season defeat.

And in the midst of the win was a try for Liam Canning, his first senior score for the club.

The home side started well, and quick turnover ball at the ruck saw Rob Lawless feed James Finucane, who floated an inside pass to Sonny Waddington to score under the posts.

James Redford added the conversion, before Rob Lawless found space on the outside to score a well-taken try, which Redford again converted.

Pendle's back line was regularly tested, but Carl Wiseman and Danny Rowlands coped with everything that was thrown at them.

Daniel Edmondson added try number three after good work from James Crabtree, with Redford converting, but despite adding fresh legs at the break, Stuart Riley's afternoon didn't last long as he was forced to leave the field with a shoulder injury.

Canning then added his name to the scoresheet, before Ben Peverley completed the scoring, converted once again by Redford.

And Pendle will hope to end their season on a high tomorrow when they travel to Blackburn Northern.
