NELSON'S Under 13s team have again been invited to embark on a Spanish adventure.
Last year, the team flew to Lloret De Mar to take part in the Copa Pentecostas.

And having returned home with the Fair Play Trophy last time out, the young Blues have again been asked to to take part.

The side are currently pushing for honours in both the Accrington and District Youth League and the Warburton's League.

And, managed by Mark Whittaker, they are set to once again test their mettle on the Costa Brava.

The side, who flew out yesterday, are set to return tomorrow week, having played two or three matches a day for the five-day tournament.

In addition, and based on their outstanding performance last year, the team have also been invited to play in a number of friendly competitions against local Spanish teams.

The team have secured sponsorship for the trip from both Ferroli, manufacturers of heating appliances, and Sports World Ltd, who have recently opened on the Anchor Retail Park, Burnley.

Both companies are keen to become further involved in community based initiatives and issues, and have identified the Nelson Under 13s team as a great cause.
