If youre a big fan of movies then its definitely worth investing in the latest technology to ensure you get the full on home cinema experience. A big flat screen 3DTV the bigger the better, obviously a Bluray or the very latest DVD player, and surround sound speakers should do the job nicely. And if you can set all this up in a dedicated home cinema room then you probably wont ever need to go to the local multiplex again!
The only problem with all this equipment, and it is a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things, is that lots of state -of -the -art equipment means lots of wires and cables, and unless you have somewhere to stow them all they can start to look like a big tangled mess, which spoils the vista somewhat! It also makes the most of the space available, so that even if youre setting up your home cinema in a small den, you can still have a nice unit to house everything.

If you have partition walls and arent sure whether or not mounting your flat screen TV on to them is a good idea, then you should definitely consider going down the route of customised furniture. If you opt for an all-in-one unit you can have the TV mounted onto the top half and then store your DVD player speakers and movie collection in shelves and drawers underneath. These big units can also be designed with special holes for cables and leads so that everything is organised neatly.
