Creating the perfect home cinema
ADVERTORIAL FEATURE
If youre a big fan of movies then its definitely worth investing in the latest technology to ensure you get the full on home cinema experience. A big flat screen 3DTV the bigger the better, obviously a Bluray or the very latest DVD player, and surround sound speakers should do the job nicely. And if you can set all this up in a dedicated home cinema room then you probably wont ever need to go to the local multiplex again!
The only problem with all this equipment, and it is a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things, is that lots of state -of -the -art equipment means lots of wires and cables, and unless you have somewhere to stow them all they can start to look like a big tangled mess, which spoils the vista somewhat! The best way of organising everything is by getting some bespoke furniture for your home cinema.
The great thing about bespoke furniture is that its designed to fit your room exactly, so there are no odd corners sticking out because they dont fit against the wall properly. It also makes the most of the space available, so that even if youre setting up your home cinema in a small den, you can still have a nice unit to house everything.
If you have partition walls and arent sure whether or not mounting your flat screen TV on to them is a good idea, then you should definitely consider going down the route of customised furniture. If you opt for an all-in-one unit you can have the TV mounted onto the top half and then store your DVD player speakers and movie collection in shelves and drawers underneath. These big units can also be designed with special holes for cables and leads so that everything is organised neatly.
If youve made the decision that this is the way you want to go for your home cinema, and we recommend you do, you can work with the designers to ensure all your specifications are taken care of. Whether this is equipment or the shape of the room, they take everything into consideration when designing the furniture. You can also make the call on which materials you use. It will be as individual to you as your taste in movies.
