Barnoldswick were unable to put a spanner in the works of Settle’s charge up the table on Saturday.
Third placed Settle are now 21 points off leaders Clitheroe - who have a game in hand on their rivals - following a 93-run win over relegation threatened Barlick.
Imran Khalid was the star with an unbeaten 132 out of 243-7 to set-up a 93 run success.
Matthew Nutter was the only Barlick batsman to offer any resistance with a courageous 93 as Settle completed a routine win.
It leaves Luke Hodgson’s side still second bottom of Section A, seven points clear of Ramsbottom Cup winners Ribblesdale Wanderers, and five adrift of OswaldtwistleImmanuel, who hover above the drop zone, with two sides to go down under the new league system.
Barnoldswick are at Great Harwood tomorrow, before hosting Baxenden at Victory Park on Sunday, where a win could drag the visitors into the dogfight.
