Barnoldswick secured runners-up spot in the Ribblesdale League on Sunday with victory on the final day.
Clitheroe proved worthy successors to Barlick - who finished 58 points adrift in defence of their title.
But the Victory Park side held on to second spot as they beat Edenfield by 29 runs, making closest rivals Settle’s win in a 519-run feast at wooden spoonists Padiham irrelevant.
Barnoldswick had first knock at Gincroft Lane, and they set the home side a target of 185.
Liam Bedford was the mainstay of the innings, with a terrific knock of 82, while South African substitute professional Ockert Erasmus, from Lancashire League side East Lancashire, added 56.
Shahrukh Khan did most of the damage, taking 7-46.
However, in reply, Edenfield were dismissed 29 runs short for 155, as all-rounder Erasmus backed up his efforts with the bat by earning a second collection of the day, taking 5-73.
