Clarets announce record shirt sponsorship deal

Burnley Football Club is proud to have signed a record, multi-million-pound deal to have online gaming company Dafabet as their official shirt sponsor.

Dafabet have signed a two-year deal and will have their name on all adult home and away shirts, for the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons.

In adhering to strict betting rules, the company have also kindly agreed to offer sponsorship space on all junior shirts to the club’s Community department, which will enable Burnley FC in the Community to have a global platform to promote their award-winning scheme.

Anthony Fairclough, Head of Commercial Affairs at Burnley FC, said: “This has been a lengthy process, involving many different companies of stature all over the world.

“It highlights just how far the club has come as a commercial entity across the globe.

“We have been invited to boardroom tables where previously we would never have had the opportunity.

“However, Dafabet quickly emerged as our preferred partner due to their proven track record within Premier League and we look forward to initiating some of the inventory in our partnership.”

Mr Fairclough added: “I am particularly pleased Dafabet have also allowed us to project the good work we do in the community onto a world stage, and we thank them for a vision which mirrored our own.”

In their 13-year existence, Dafabet has become a significant investor and operator in the online gaming industry.

They offer sports book services that cover over 5,000 live events from across the world on a weekly basis, in addition to a wide variety of the most popular and enjoyable casino games and promotions on the web.

The 2016/17 home shirt will be revealed on Friday 24th June, with pre-orders commencing from Monday 27th June.

The kit will then go on sale on Saturday 9th July.
