Burnley striker Danny Ings has been called up to the Engand Under 21 squad.
The 21-year-old hitman, who has found the net 10 times so far this season, will meet up with Gareth Southgate’s squad next week ahead of their fixtures with San Marino and Lithuania.
The squad travels to San Marino on Thursday, October 10th before hosting Lithuania on Tuesday, October 15th.
Ings will become only the third player in the club’s to represent the Under 21s following on from Jay Rodriguez and Richard Chaplow if he plays.
Rodriguez was the last, earning his first and only cap as a 60th minute substitute against Italy Under 21s in 2011.
