Jimmy Anderson found not guilty

The England seamer had been facing a potential four-Test ban after he was charged over claims he abused and pushed Ravindra Jadeja during the First Test at Trent Bridge.

Jadeja, who was appealing against a fine for his part in the incident, was also cleared.

The outcome means Anderson (32) is now clear to play in the final two Tests against India, the next one beginning at his home ground Old Trafford on Thursday, August 7th.

Anderson was named man-of-the-match following England’s win in the Third Test, his seven-wicket haul moving him within 12 of Sir Ian Botham’s England’s Test record of 383.
