Colne’s casino night, held in the Vice Presidents lounge at the XLCR Stadium on Saturday evening, was a great success, raising over £1,000 for the club.
Organised and run by local impressario Dave Craig, the evening lived up to all expectations.
The event was attended by a mixture of players, supporters, committee members and sponsors who enjoyed taking part in games of blackjack, poker and roulette.
Star of the show was Craig, who ran the horse racing and kept everybody entertained with his colourful commentary and showmanship.
An excellent buffet was provided by the Alma Inn, and the evening ended with an auction for a diverse selection of prizes which had been donated to the club by their friends and sponsors.
Colne’s home game with Glossop North End on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Colne’s Reserves were due to play Nelson Reserves on Monday evening, but that match also fell victim to the weather.
Tomorrow, the Reds travel to Norton United in the North West Counties League Premier Division, kick-off 3 p.m.
