This was a great game for the neutral to watch, with end to end football throughout.
The home team started well, dominating possession but creating few chances.
Celtic always looked dangerous on the break, with Gorman and Waring coming close on several occasions.
Cononley came out strongly in the second half, but Celtic took the lead when, on the break, Waring went through to round the keeper and slot home.
Celtic were in control in now but were guilty of sitting back too deep. Cononley drew level when a harshly awarded penalty was comfortably put away.
This sparked Celtic into action and they took a 3-1 lead with a goal from Gorman and a second from Waring.
A never say die attitude from Cononley however, saw them score twice in the last 10 minutes for a share of the points.
Keeper Cross pulled off a brilliant save at the death to thwart the hosts.
