ROCK Rovers eased to a 6-0 win over Daneshouse with a hat-trick from Alex Heap to stay top of the East Lancashire League Second Division.
A penalty from Martin Whittsaker put the locals ahead, before further strikes from Heap and Mark Feeney left Rovers comfortable at half-time.
After the break, Heap added two more goals, with Thomas Cleaver completing the scoring.
The reserves, meanwhile, lost 3-0 to Rimington in a game that was tighter than the scoreline suggests.
Rock missed some excellent chances in the first half, as they went in 1-0 down, and they conceded a second goal after the break, before losing a third late on.
