Premier League rivals Leicester City are allegedly about to tabe a bid £7.5m for Clarets star striker Danny Ings.
The speculation surfaced in a national newspaper yesterday and comes in the wake of co-chairman Mike Garlick pledging that fans’ favourite Ings would be ‘going nowhere’ in the January transfer window.
The rumour appears to be groundless as Ings, who is out of contract at the end of this season, would surely set his sights on joining a bigger club if he left Turf Moor.
Earlier this month reports suggested that leading scorer Ings could be the target of an audacious transfer swoop by European giants Ajax. He has also been linked with Everton, Southampton and Sunderland in recent weeks.
