Rock Rovers continue to climb the table

ROCK Rovers climbed up to second in the East Lancashire League Second Division with a comprensive 5-0 win over Clitheroe RBL at Bull Holme.

Rovers are now two points behind leaders Burnley Belvedere with four games in hand.

They were in control throughout and led 3-0 at the break through James Aspinall (2) and man of the match Alex Heap, before Mark Feeney and Liam Roberts completed the rout.

The reserves beat Langho 3-1, also at Bull Holme, after trailing 1-0 at half-time.

They recovered to win with goals from Thomas Cleaver, Chris Whiteoak and Andrew Stobbs.

The firsts at at Barrowford Celtic tomorrow, with the reserves at Peel Park, meet 12-30 p.m. at The Venue.
