Town knocked out higher league opposition in this second round President’s Cup match with a 3-2 win over Feniscowles and Pleasington.

They took the lead after eight minutes when Gary Storey broke clear on the left and finished with a low drive.

But a defensive error mid way through the half gave Feniscowles an equaliser.

The game continued to ebb and flow throughout the second half. Chances were spurned until a corner to the back post by Gary Storey was clawed into his own net by the visiting keeper in the 90th minute.

Feniscowles scrambled an equaliser in injury time, but with the game heading for extra time, David Jones won the game following a 40-yard run through the centre of the defence.

Town host Burnley Athletic on April 18th in the quarter-finals.
