Barnoldswick Town came from 3-0 down to earn a 3-3 draw at West Didsbury and Chorlton on Tuesday night, and extend their unbeaten run to seven games.
Danny Craig’s men were looking at a rare defeat at half-time, having conceded three goals in the first 28 minutes at Brookburn Road.
But they responded superbly to claim another point, on the back of Saturday’s 3-3 draw at home to Congleton Town.
West Didsbury went ahead through Joe Shaw on 11 minutes, and doubled their lead on 24 minutes through Nic Evangelinos, before adding a third through Nia Bayunu just before the half hour.
Town pulled one back from the spot on 63 minutes through Andrew Hill, and Gareth Hargreaves made it 3-2 with 15 minutes remaining, before Aaron Hollindrake completed the comeback five minutes from time.
Hollindrake had scored the first goal on Saturday as Town twice squandered a two-goal lead against Congleton.
Harry Thompson made it 2-0, before Richard Bailey pulled one back before half-time.
Kenny Taylor restored the two-goal advantage, but Congleton claimed a point through a Callum Jones brace.
Town host Hanley Town tomorrow, and leaders Atherton Collieries on Tuesday.
Town’s East Lancashire League Division Two side lost 3-1 at Blackburn United on Saturday.
Matthew Hargreaves had given Town the lead on 26 minutes with an unstoppable 35-yard pile driver of a free kick.
