Trawden suffer Sunday Trophy defeat

In the first round stages of the Lancashire Sunday Trophy Trawden Venue tasted defeat for the first time in a year after a 4-2 setback against Fylde Coast Gate Company from the Blackpool Sunday Football Alliance.

A hat-trick from Henry Wright and a Callum Chadderton effort proved enough for Fylde.

AFC Shooters continued with their bright start to the season with a comfortable 6-1 victory against Pendle Blues. A brace from Tony Mansworth and goals from Lee Jackson, Paul Holden, Marcus Duxbury and Rick Scott secured the points. Dan Catlow replied for Blues. After a busy week in the transfer market, Colne Town recorded their third win of the season following a 7-2 victory against Northern Lights. Braces from Jak Gouch and Charlie Sitaras and goals from Ross Walker, Luke Tapper and James Holmes move Town up to fifth place in the table. Jake Butterworth struck twice for the Lights. Ajash Ajmal gave Paak AFC the lead against Financial Affairs, but Carl Cawtherley grabbed a point for his side.

Lifestyle Fitness beat Pendle Blues Athletic 3-2. Antony Ivens and Johnny Pollard gave Athletic a two goal cushion but three goals in the last 10 minutes from Aaron Topham (2) and Gus Whitehead stole the points for Lifestyle. Sam Hudson, Adam Gregory, Michael Hall, Danny Morville and Ashley Southworth all struck for Pendle FC in their 5-2 win against Barnoldswick Barons Reserves while Barnoldswick Barons beat Queens Dynamoes 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Gaz Turner and a Josh Scothern effort.
