New captain and president are elected

At Ghyll Golf Club’s Annual General Meeting last week, the new captain Bob Bugler and president Tony Lodge were unanimously elected.

The new Lady Captain, Margaret Taylforth had been elected at the Ladies’ Section AGM the previous week.

On behalf of the whole club, the retiring captain Steve Mortimer, the retiring president Tom Ashby and Susan Taylforth, the retiring lady captain, were all thanked for their commitment and dedication in their successful year of office.

The officers of the club were also thanked for their hard work in making Ghyll a very successful, enjoyable and forward looking club.
