Barlick Fell Runners attended the presentation for the Mid Lancs Cross Country season on Friday night.

The men’s team won Division Three, winning all six rounds.

Overall, had they been in Division One, they would have won the title, after winning three meetings outright.

Three men finished in the top 10 individual competition.

The veteran 40 team also gained promotion to DivisionTwo after finishing second. For the ladies, Sarah Tipler was third overall in the individual section.

Sunday saw four Barlick Fell Runners at the Manchester Marathon. Chris Singleton had a great run, finishing 17th overall in 2.33, while Gary Shaw finished 20th (2.34), Ian Livesey 29th (2.37) and Tim Piggot ran 3.25.

Barlick Fell Runners also recently made their debut at the national 12 stage road relay and were the first team home in Lancashire, eighth northern team and 32nd overall.

The team was Singleton, Jimmy Craig, Nick Treitl, Lucas Payne, Shaw, Shaun Chew, Livesey, Russell Parrington, Thomas Corrigan, Chris Smale, Stephen Chew and Luke Maude.
