Barnoldswick swimmers Ben Havers-Strong and Jacob Taylforth both brought home medals from the Lancashire County Championships at the Manchester and Liverpool Aquatics centres.
Both Ben and Jacob competed in their age groups for the second year, representing Pioneer 79 Swimming Club.
Jacob won gold for the second year in a row in the 50m Breastroke in a time of 42.77, beating a very strong field.
He also competed in the 200m Breastroke where he was fifth in 3:28.99, the 200m Individual Medley (20th, 3:22.61), the 200m backstroke (24th, 3:15.80), 50m Backstroke (11th, 40.95), 200m Freestyle (18th, 2:51.61) and 50m freestyle (eighth, 34.31).
Ben had his first success at the counties this year, in each discipline beating his best finish place of eighth last year.
He won gold in the 200m Individual Medley in a time of 2:56.67, Silver in the 200m Butterfly (3:10.62), 200m freestyle (2:34.98) and 400m freestyle (5:19.18), and bronze in the 50m fly in a time of 36.18.
He also competed in the 200m Breastroke, coming sixth (3:30.53), fourth in the 200m backstroke (3:01.44), fifth in the 50m Backstroke (39.65), seventh in the 50m Breastroke (46.21) and fourth in the 50m freestyle (33.50).
