PUPILS from Blacko Primary School represented Pendle in style at the 10th annual SPAR Lancashire Youth Games tag rugby county finals last week.
Teams representing 16 schools from across Lancashire took part in the finals at Preston Grasshoppers, and Blacko won the Cup competition!
It was a fantastic day despite the weather, and the children thoroughly enjoyed the competition, with the locals edging out Garstang St Thomas’ in the final.
Blacko reached the finals by winning the Pendle Lancashire Youth Game Qualifiers.

The qualifier was fiercely contested between the 12 top tag schools in the area at Colne and Nelson Rugby Club.
With over 120 children present from the schools, split into three leagues, all schools played three games each. with Blacko, Holy Trinity abd Christchurch winning their groups and progressing into the top round robin competition.
Blacko emerged victorious, and the day also saw the appearance of two Sale Sharks players, Will Addison and Dan Hall, who gave out the prizes to all the teams that entered.
