On Thursday, Colne ASC travelled to Ramsbottom to take part in their last fixture of the North East Lancashire Friendly League season.

Over the course of the evening, Ramsbottom proved too strong for the Colne team as they won by 68 points to 51.

Yet despite this, the Colne swimmers managed a further 21 new personal bests, with 10 for the boys and 11 for the girls.

This result means that Colne finished in third place in the Second Division, thus missing out on a swim-off place for promotion to the First Division.
