COLNE ASC travelled down to the other end of the M65 to take part in their second Micro League fixture of the season at Preston’s West View Pool.

In what proved to be an exciting contest, Colne pushed the hosts all the way only to miss out on victory by only nine points. This left Preston ‘B’ the victors on 149 points with Colne in second place on 140 points.

Carnforth ‘B’ were a distant third place on 103 points with Blackpool ‘C’ came in forth place with 77 points.

During the course of the afternoon the Colne girls recorded six new personal bests between them, and the boys managed 11 new ones.

Colne’s next fixture is at home to Wigan, Preston ‘B’ and Leyland ‘B’ on Saturday, June 16th.
