Barnoldswick firm Hope Technology kindly sponsored a team of four riders who took part in the Isle of Man National Youth tour over the May bank holiday weekend.

The team consisted of Nathan Hawthorn from Cycle Sport Pendle and also a pupil at Fisher-More High School, Alistair Leivers from Blackpool and Alex Ridehaulgh and Euan Cameron from Yorkshire.

They all took part in the three-day tour which consisted of an individual time trial in Douglas, a hilly road race in Ellerslie and a crit race at Ramsey.

There was a second place on stage one for Alistair, a win on stage two for Euan and a first and third place on stage three for Alistair and Nathan.

This ensured that the overall winner of the General classification and the points jersey was awarded to Hope rider Alistair.

The boys rode very well as a team and learnt a lot over the weekend, and would like to take the opportunity to thank Hope for their kind sponsorship of the kit.
