The 60th anniversary of the Three Peaks Fell Race in Horton in Ribblesdale saw some great performances from five men from Barnoldswick.
The race was won by Ricky Lightfoot of Ellenborough in 2:53, and, leading the Barlickers home, was Nick Treitl in 20th position in 3:23 - a brilliant performance and well earned with the training and commitment shown over the last four months.
Next home were Luke Maude (33rd in 3:34) and Jimmy Craig (37th in 3:37).
Andy Berry also improved his personal best on the course by nearly 10 minutes and finishied 122nd. John Boothman had a good first Three Peaks, coming home in 5:12.
On the same day, Gary Bradley was participating in the 63-mile race, The Fellsman - an arduously tough race scaling many of the Yorkshire peaks. He came home in a cracking time of 16:39.
This week sees the club host its first race of the year - the Pendle Cloughs from Downham. Details can be found on the club website.
