Marsden Park’s Ian Cinnamond won his first board competition as he triumphed in the Wilcock Trophy with a 89-23-66.

He pippied John Whalleys’s 85-19-66 on a card playoff. Craig Watson took third place with a 85-18-67 with Declan Buksh (73-5-68) taking fourth place.

The ladies competition was a close encounter with Eva Pinder winning the Founder Members’ Rosebowl with a score of 90-18-71 on a card play off from Janet Kelly’s 87-16-71. A score of 93-19-74 by Thomas Nicholson won him the Dugdale Trophy played for by the juniors.

Ladies at Colne Golf Club enjoyed excellent course and weather conditions in their stableford competition with Freda Lester’s 40 points winning her the competition with, for the second week running Eva Pinder runner-up.

Kevin Valentine (76-11-65) won the ELGA qualifier at Colne Golf Club. Steve Parker, Jason Spain and Paul Kavanagh made up the top four and will ow go forward to represent the club at the 2015 ELGA handicap competition.
