Bushido Ju Jitsu Barnoldswick’s Intermediate age group student George Roe (16) has been awarded the grade of black belt.

George was graded by a panel of high ranking Black Belts of the British Ju Jitsu Association.

He travelled to Sensei Pryce’s Dojo in Plas Madoc, Wales, with the grading taking place over a 45-minute examination period, where he had to demonstrate a vast array of techniques to defend himself in response to single and multiple attacks.

Class Instructor Sensei Richard Asbery 6th Dan said: “George’s achievement is the result of seven years of dedicated training. George showed good technique and great fighting spirit.”
