Flanked by members of Ghyll Golf Club Tony Lodge, the 2015 captain, and Jackie Barker, the 2015 Lady Captain, present a cheque for £1,887 to Tory Muirhead from Yorkshire Air Ambulance, while a further £250 has already been donated to the Airedale Hospital branch of the Diabetic Society.

During 2015, Ghyll Golf Club members raised over £2,000 in support of local charitable causes from a variety of events, including proceeds from a Murder Mystery Evening and the Men’s Winter League meat raffle, as well as fines imposed on golfers straying into certain designated bunkers during the course of a round.

The major beneficiary was the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The service costs over £4 million annually, and this year aims to replace one of their two helicopters.
