Saturday saw Pendle Triathlon Club run its second GoTri event at Pendle Leisure Centre Colne, sponsored by Domino’s Pizza.
The two events attracted a strong field of competitors from the local area.
The 250m and 2.5km event was won by Gill Robinson (44) of Colne in a time of 17 minutes and 53 seconds.
The second event, which was double the distance at 500m and 5km, was won by Josh Hutchinson (26) of Higham in a time of 26 minutes and 44 seconds.
After the success of these two GoTri events the club is considering running two further event later this year before going on to run #pentri15 Pendle Triathlon Event in May next year.
Sunday saw Stephen Ormandy (34) of Higham compete in his first-ever triathlon event - the Salford Triathlon, which consisted of a 750m open water swim in Salford Quays followed by a bike ride of 20km and finally a run of 5km, which he completed in a time of 1:56:04.
