Members of Pendle Karate Club went down to the Staffordshire International Karate Championships - and all came back with at least one medal!
Competing alongside other clubs from all over England and Ireland, it turned into a hugely successful event for the locals.
Jason Kelly won gold in the 9 and under beginner to 7th kyu Kata, and Serena Gambacota won bronze in the 9 and under 6th kyu to 4th kyu Kata.
Calum Grant claimed bronze in the 10-12 years 3rd kyu and above Kata.
Jason Kelly and Aydin Giray then went on to win bronze in pairs Kata.
Harriet Webber and Emma Burniston were up against stiff competition, but took first place in pairs Kata and got gold medals.
Samantha Burniston won a bronze medal in the black belt Kata, knocking out her own sister for joint-third!
Only Aydin Giray got in the medals for free fighting, and won silver for the club, taking the total to nine.
But all put in a fantastic effort and were back training on Tuesday, and ready for some more!
Sensei Steve Grant would like to thank all the parents for their continued support.
