In the Nelson Semi-Snooker League, Alexandra at the new First Division leaders after a 5-0 home win over Poultry B.

Burnley Miners moved into joint second place with a 3-2 away win over Poultry A.

Wayne Cotterill had a run of 47 for second placed St Andrew’s, but lost out to Paradises Eric Catlow as his team came away 3-2 winners.

Worsthorne pulled off a 4-1 home win over White Lea Head, and down at Church Street, Jamie Shiels had a run of 35 for Lamb A, while Andy Marshall put in a break of 44 and Darren Johnstone had a run of 35 for Old Band B who came away 3-2 winners.

Briercliffe managed a 3-2 home win over Lamb B.

In the Second Division, Padiham A remain at the top with a 3-2 home win over Shorthomers B, and are closely followed by Poultry D, who lost out 3-2 away to Tacklers A.

Colne Dressers A lie in third place after a 3-2 home win over Liberal B, while Carters went through the card at home to Tacklers B.

Dressers D are in mid-table after a 3-2 home win over Molly Rigby’s A, but Paradise B v David Street A and St Andrew’s v Dressers E have been re-arranged because of technical problems.

In the Third Division, Shorthomers C now hold a four-point lead at the top after a 3-2 home win over David Street B, and Shorthomers D move into second with a 5-0 away win over Foulridge.

Tim Goode had a run of 36 for third placed Lamb D, who lost out 3-2 to their C side as Mick Hodgson took the deciding frame from Paul Kelly.

Nelson Dressers B pulled off a 3-2 home win over Padiham B, and there were 3-2 away wins for Old Band C, Colne Dressers B and Nelson Dressers C over Poultry C, Tacklers C and Nelson Golf club respectively.
