PENDLE Forest came from behind to beat Preston in their latest home game.
Preston’s goalkeeper made several important saves after Forest found gaps in their opposition’s defence but mid way through the half Preston broke away down the centre of the pitch, catching Forest on the back foot and finishing with a great strike.
After the break, Hayley Baines’ solo effort from the halfway line rewarded Forest with a short corner. The continuining pressure paid off when the ball was slipped left for Hayley B to slot it home and equalise.
Pendle Forests scored again from a move started by Sarah Towers out of defence which eventually saw Cath Hutchinson beating the Preston keeper.
