Pendle Phoenix ran in 11 tries in a 73-0 victory in Salford against Broughton RUFC on Saturday.
Broughton have been struggling this year and sit at the bottom of North Lancashire 2.
Pendle were hoping for a solid and clinical display, and they weren’t to be disappointed.
An excellent team performance resulted in tries from Rob Lawless, James Finucane, Nick Martin, Lee Rowland and James Hall, and Craig Wiseman and Shaye McCullough both got braces.
Andy Dutton was in great kicking form, converting nine of the 11 conversion at a percentage rate of 82% to win the Crown man of the match award.
Phoenix have three games remaining, starting with tomorrow’s home game against Crosby St Mary’s (kick-off 3 p.m.).
They end the season at home to Carnforth on Saturday, April 5th and at Birchfield on the 12th, both 3 p.m. kick-offs.
Phoenix lie seventh in North Lancs 2.
